This Hispanic Heritage Month brought a proud moment for the LL Billing & Financial Services team. S Revista, the leading luxury and lifestyle publication for Latinos in the United States, featured our CEO and founder, Lisbet Rodríguez, as one of its Súper Mujeres. And on September 29, our team joined S Revista and Diario Las Américas for El Poder de los Hispanos, a live conversation on identity, representation, and legacy.
A story that started in medicine
Lisbet grew up in Tranquera, a small town in Cuba, and began her career studying medicine. After emigrating to the United States, she spent years earning licenses and gaining experience with other companies in the healthcare administration field. Along the way, she saw a gap that would define her path: many practices had billing support, but few had a partner truly invested in their financial health.
In 2021, Lisbet founded LL Billing & Financial Services, with the support of her husband and business partner, Boris Hernández. From our base in Miami, we support healthcare providers with medical billing, coding, revenue cycle management, and credentialing.
For Lisbet, the move from clinical medicine to revenue operations was never a departure from her calling. As she told S Revista, it was “the way I found to keep helping humanity.”
Why that matters to the practices we serve
The idea behind that story shapes how we work every day. Physicians should spend their time with patients, not chasing denials, reworking claims, or waiting on credentialing files. Our role is to carry the administrative weight so that care teams can focus on care.
That is also why we see ourselves as partners rather than vendors. Billing is not only about submitting claims. It is about accompanying a practice through the full cycle, from eligibility to reimbursement, with clear communication and accountability at every step.
El Poder de los Hispanos
On September 29, S Revista and Diario Las Américas hosted El Poder de los Hispanos at Caffe Abbracci in Coral Gables, streamed live on Instagram. Moderated by Giselle Blondet, the panel brought together Omer Pardillo-Cid of the Celia Cruz Foundation, Dr. Aida Levitan, meteorologist and communicator Deborah Martorell, Martha Leplaid of Hablemos ABA, and a closing reflection by Mariela Encarnación.
The conversation covered identity, culture, representation, and the responsibility of opening doors for the next generation. One idea stayed with our team long after the panel ended: representation is also built through everyday work.
Many of the practices we support are led by Hispanic physicians and administrators and serve Hispanic patients. Supporting them clearly, professionally, and in their own language is part of how we contribute to that legacy.
